Cannot use Microphone or Camera in RingCentral

If you try to use your microphone and webcam in RingCentral and are presented with these caution signs:


Then you need to give the application permission. You will have to restart RingCentral after for this to work, which means ending your meeting and starting it again. Here are the steps:


  1. Click on the Apple Logo at the top left of your screen and choose "System Preferences"


  2. Go to "Security & Privacy"



  3. Choose the "Privacy" tab at the top



  4. Choose "Camera or Microphone" and check the box next to "RingCentral"
  5. It will then ask you to restart RingCentral, you will have to end your meeting and start it again.
