Students will not be allowed to print on campus during the 2021-22 school year.
Trinity's main printers are integrated with PaperCut for easy print management. PaperCut removes the need for drivers for each individual printer on campus, requiring only one driver for the entire printer network. Staff members are given a print card which can be scanned onto any Trinity printer, allowing it to print your documents.
Printer Networks
There are several different printer networks available on Trinity laptops:
- Trinity-Printers
- allows you to print on any PaperCut-enabled printer on the network
- pre-installed on all student and faculty/staff MacBook Airs
- Color-Printers
- only works on color printers, optimized for fast color printing and large files
- pre-installed on all student and faculty/staff MacBook Airs
- Workroom-Copiers
- only works on workroom copiers, allows for advanced features such as staples and hole punches
- all documents will print duplex (double-sided) by default
- pre-installed on all faculty/staff MacBook Airs
While documents printed to Trinity-Printers will print to any printer on campus, we recommend printing to Color-Printers if you are printing a color document, and Workroom-Copiers if you are printing to the machines in the Academic or Morgan work rooms.
How to Print
- Open the document you want to print on your computer and open the print dialog box. Choose the correct destination for what you are printing (Trinity-Printers, Color-Printers, or Workroom-Copiers). If you are printing to Trinity-Printers or Color-Printers, click Print. If you are printing to Workroom-Copiers, see the steps in the Workroom-Copiers section.
- Head over to the printer you want to use.
- Scan your print card.
- Your document will be printed.
Workroom-Copiers
If you are printing to Workroom-Copiers, do the following:
- Google Chrome: In the print dialog, click "More settings", then select "Print using system dialog...", then choose the Workroom-Copiers printer, then select one of the available presets (Hole Punch, Staple, or both).
- Microsoft Word: In the print dialog, select the Workroom-Copiers printer, then the preset you want.
