  • How do I instruct my students to print?
Please direct them to the email sent from [email protected] titled “Student Printing at Trinity” or to this Support Article.

  • My student doesn’t know their PIN. How do they get it?
A student’s PIN is available in the PaperCut portal. The PaperCut portal is available in “Trinity Bookmarks” in Google Chrome on the top left corner of their browser. Students should select “Sign in with Google” and log in with their Trinity credentials to view their PIN under “Card/ID” (Click “Show” in the top left hand corner to view). Students have been sent instructions via email on how to find their PIN.  Printed instructions are also available by the Commons printer.

  • Where is the student printer?
The student printer is located off the Commons between two vending machines. This is the only printer on campus that students can use themselves. Students should enter their PIN on the keypad kiosk next to the student printer to release their print job.

  • What printer should a student select to print?
Students should select “Student-Printer” from the “Destination” drop-down menu in the printer dialog menu and then select “Print.” Students should NOT select “Student-Print-Queue.” If a student does not see the “Student-Printer” option from the drop-down menu, they should select “See More.”

  • How can my student check their printing balance?

Students have been given a 50 page print quota per semester and can check their printing balance by navigating to the PaperCut portal. The PaperCut portal is available in Google Chrome on the top left corner of their browser. Students should select “Sign in with Google” and log in with their Trinity credentials to view their remaining Print Balance under “Balance” (Navigate to the top left hand corner to view). Students have been sent instructions via email on how to find their printer balance.

  • My student says their print didn’t work and they want a “refund.”
Students can request a refund on specific print jobs by following this guide. Additionally, they can email [email protected] with printing concerns.

  • What should a student do if there is a paper jam on the student printer?
Have the student email [email protected] with all printing concerns.

  • What should a student do if the toner runs out on the student printer?
Have the student email [email protected] with all printing concerns.

  • How does a student print in color?
Color printing is not available for students. All prints are released in black and white.

  • What should a student do if the paper runs out?
If a student reports that a printer has run out of paper, please consider assisting them with adding more paper. Additionally, the student can contact [email protected].

  • When should a student print?
Students should print during their free time/Study Halls. Please do not send an entire class to go print at the same time as this may cause issues ranging from printer errors to discipline issues.
