Using Rubrics in Google Classroom

Modified on Tue, 21 Jul, 2020 at 2:52 PM

Why are Rubrics in Google Classroom Helpful?

Rubrics, no matter how simple, reinforce the criteria that we are looking for in student work. It's easy to attach IB criteria to assignments. They also help answer the question "Why isn't this full credit?"

Adding a Rubric

In Google Classroom, choose a class and select the "Classwork" tab. Select "Create" and then "Assignment". You can also go back and edit an old assignment to practice with the rubric feature. You can't click to add a rubric unless you have started creating an assignment. Not all point values need to be defined.

Grading with Rubrics
