Email Summaries for Guardians

When a guardian accepts an invitation from a teacher, they get regular emails about their student’s work and classes. These emails, known as guardian email summaries, include information about missing work, upcoming work, and class activity. Guardians cannot get in to Classroom itself and will not be able to view your class stream or student work. Once a guardian is invited and accepts for one class, they are linked to their student in all classes and will receive an email summary for all classes. By default, Guardian Email Summaries are turned off, so you will need to enable this feature under Settings by sliding the feature on.

You can invite guardians by going to the People tab in a class, then clicking the "Invite guardians" button next to each student. Enter their email addresses, then click Invite.

Emailing Guardians

You can send emails to all guardians at once, or to a specific student's guardians. To email all guardians, simply click "Email all guardians" on the People tab. To email a specific student's guardians, click on the three dots icon to the right of the student, then choose "Email guardians".
